Ara Darzi calls for a ‘stronger partnership of mutual trust and respect’ during Covid-19 pandemic

The incoming president of the British Science Association has called for a “reset” in the relationship between politics and science in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ara Darzi (pictured), director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London and an independent peer in the House of Lords, said the relationship between the scientific community and politicians had at times been strained.
