British Academy wants seven-year Horizon Europe commitment

Social sciences and humanities society also wants R&D spending of 3 per cent of GDP

The British Academy has urged the government to use the upcoming Comprehensive Spending Review to ring-fence funding so that the UK’s commitment to Horizon Europe association is “clear and protected”.

In its submission to the spending review, which will take place on 27 October, the academy says that guaranteeing funding would ensure that the country’s commitment to the European Union’s principal research funding programme could be “clearly communicated” both within the UK and to international partners.
