“Wider range of individuals” needed in decision-making at AMS, says president
The Academy of Medical Sciences is putting a focus on the need for female researchers and those from ethnic minorities, as it seeks four nominations for elections to its council.
The council is the decision-making body of the academy, which represents clinical, non-clinical and population-based medical science in the UK. The AMS says that while representing these areas, the council must also be a showcase for “voices and expertise from all corners of the UK”, as well as being balanced in terms of gender and ethnicity.
