Survey shows positive public attitudes towards universities and their research
More than 70 per cent of people believe that research is one of the best things produced in the UK, while a fifth of the public say universities have been “essential” during the pandemic.
Findings in the Attitudes to Higher Education Survey, published on 20 July by the UPP Foundation and the Higher Education Policy Institute, reveal that 72 per cent of all people surveyed agreed that university research “is one of the best things produced in the UK as a country”.
