G7 science academies call for action on climate and health

   

Ahead of G7 summit, scientists recommend steps for climate protection, decarbonisation and pandemic preparedness

The national science academies of the G7 group of countries with leading economies have today called for “urgent international action” on climate protection, decarbonisation and pandemic preparedness.

Each year, the academies—including the UK’s Royal Society and Germany’s Leopoldina—develop joint scientific policy recommendations to inform the deliberations of heads of state at the G7 summit.
