
Cardiovascular research charity invested £72.3 million in new research grants, bouncing back following pandemic setbacks
The British Heart Foundation increased its spending on new research grants by 40 per cent between 2020-21 and 2021-22, its annual accounts have revealed.
In the last financial year, the charity awarded 150 grants for research on heart and circulatory diseases, worth a total of £72.3 million, which compares with £51.9m the year before.
