Former prime minister resigns as president of charity after being appointed foreign secretary

Former prime minister David Cameron has left his role as president of Alzheimer’s Research UK following his appointment as foreign secretary.

Cameron will remain patron of the charity, for which he has helped raise more than £20 million, the charity said. As president, it added, he has helped build new strategic partnerships and collaborations for the charity.
