Three crew members on RSS Sir David Attenborough receive injuries as lifeboat falls into sea

Three crew members were left with minor injuries after a lifeboat fell into the sea from the UK’s RRS Sir David Attenborough polar research ship, an investigation has revealed.

The ship is key for the UK’s polar research activities, led by the British Antarctic Survey. It was built with £200 million from the government, which BAS says is the largest investment in polar science since the 1980s.
