Hilary Evans and Nadeem Sarwar to chair £160 million Barbara Windsor mission on dementia research
A pharmaceutical executive and the head of the UK’s largest dementia charity have been appointed chairs of a national mission to tackle the neurodegenerative disease.
Hilary Evans, chief executive of Alzheimer’s Research UK, and Nadeem Sarwar, global head of genomic and digital therapeutics strategies at Eisai, will spearhead the mission, which was launched last year in memory of actress Barbara Windsor (pictured), who died from Alzheimer’s in 2020.
