Former Nice boss becomes first president in society’s history to be voted in by membership

The Royal Society of Medicine has elected a new president after voting was opened up to members for the first time.

Previous elections were decided by a vote among RSM trustees, but the latest election saw 7.5 per cent of members have their say.
