Aquapharm sees scope for marine microorganisms

A Scottish biotechnology firm, Aquapharm, has signed an agreement with an international research organisation to exploit the contents of the company’s collection of marine microorganisms.

The Oban-based company will be working with the Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International on sharing know-how and resources. It is hoped that this will result in the commercialisation of particular microbial strains or their component parts.
