Report maps five routes out of economic stagnation

Britain can pull its way out of the recession and create a new wave of job opportunities with significant government investment in five key areas, says a report published by the Big Innovation Centre on 14 September.

The BIC is an initiative of the Work Foundation, an independent think-tank, and Lancaster University, with backing from a range of leading British companies and a consortium of universities. Established earlier this month, it exists to examine ways of making the UK a global innovation hub.
