Cell therapy catapult publishes preclinical trials database

The Cell Therapy Catapult has published a database of on-going preclinical cell therapy research in the UK, alongside an updated version of its clinical trial database.

In a 20 May statement, the catapult says the information on the 37 projects it believes to be two years or less from the clinic will be used to track trends in cell therapy and to guide future activities. Along with details of the different cell types or diseases under investigation, the preclinical research database shows that 92 per cent are sponsored by research institutions.

The catapult, one of seven overseen by the Technology Strategy Board, has added 10 more trials to its database of UK cell therapy clinical trials, taking the total to 34.
