Welsh government hopes to woo venture capitalists

The Welsh Life Sciences Investment Fund, and Wales's success in the life sciences, will be championed by the Welsh government at the BioTrinity 2013 conference.

The conference, held from 14 to 16 May, will focus on getting together pharmaceutical and biomedical investors with companies carrying out R&D.

The Welsh government, which is co-sponsoring the event, plans to use it to promote the Welsh Life Sciences Investment Fund, a £100m equity fund for the medical and pharmaceutical projects.
