The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is to support an evaluation of tidal modelling.
Launched by tidal energy company Nova Innovation, in Edinburgh, the project will compare existing hydrodynamic models with the data provided by the UK’s first tidal array, which will be developed in Shetland.
The purpose of the study is to understand better the UK’s tides as an energy resource.
