Former police officer to lead Nesta board

The UK’s innovation agency Nesta has appointed former Metropolitan Police officer John Grieve as the chairman of its board of trustees.

Grieve, a former head of the Criminal Intelligence Branch, is a professor emeritus at London Metropolitan University, where he leads the John Grieve Centre for Policing.

He will take up his duties in March 2016, replacing John Chisholm, who held the post since 2009, according to a statement issued by Nesta on 18 December.
