Trinity College to build tech-transfer centre

The University of Cambridge’s Trinity College is to build a centre for incubating start-up technology companies at Cambridge Science Park.

The Sir John Bradfield Centre will provide more than 3300 square metres of laboratory, innovation, networking and meeting space, it was announced on 19 February. The project will receive £4.8 million in funding from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and will create about 160 jobs. It will be open by September 2016.

Gregory Winter, Master of Trinity College, said that the college hoped the centre would help it to develop entrepreneurs as well as technologies and companies.
