Crick researcher wins Swiss medicine prize

John Diffley, associate research director at the Francis Crick Institute, has been awarded the 2016 Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine.

Diffley was awarded the prize, which is worth CHF700,000 (£492,000), for his contributions to understanding DNA replication.

Andrea Ballabio, scientific director of the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine in Pozzuoli, Italy, also received the award.
