Businesses have been invited to bid for a share of up to £19 million from the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, to turn “game-changing” ideas for products, processes and services into reality.
Applicants can bid for between £25,000 and £1 million to carry out feasibility studies or experimental development in one of Innovate UK’s four priority areas: emerging and enabling technologies; health and life sciences; infrastructure systems; and manufacturing materials.
Projects must be led by a business, but can involve other organisations or researchers. They could tackle any technology and apply to any part of the economy, Innovate UK said in a statement on 11 December.
