Innovation agency wants more “testbeds” where technologies can be trialed

More should be done to test how new ideas and technologies work in practice before they reach a wider audience, says innovation agency Nesta.

A Nesta team including the agency’s policy adviser Jen Rae says there should be much wider use of “innovation testbeds”—controlled environments in the real world where new technologies can be given trial runs.
