US tech firm opens ‘flagship’ facility at Harwell campus

Building will host Agilent’s Raman spectroscopy business and Laser Spectroscopy Center of Excellence

The American high-tech research firm Agilent Technologies has opened a facility for spectroscopy R&D at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.

The facility, covering 32,000 square feet, will be home to Agilent’s Raman spectroscopy business, which analyses the composition of material based on the vibration of molecules. It will also soon accommodate the company’s Laser Spectroscopy Center of Excellence, Agilent announced on 9 October.
