BioIndustry Association wants long-term R&D investment and close relationship with the European Union
The next government should boost funding for the UK’s life sciences sector while seeking the “closest possible alignment” between the UK and the European Union, the BioIndustry Association has said.
In its biotech manifesto, published one month before the general election, the trade association said the major parties’ commitments to boost percentage of GDP spent on R&D should be continued. It also called for a long-term investment plan to be published in 2020 to give confidence to the sector.
