Businesses and academics are being invited to bid for a share of £150 million to support R&D on the aeroplanes of the future.
The investment is part of the £3.9-billion UK Aerospace Technology Institute programme, a collaboration between government and industry. The funding programme will be managed by the institute, Innovate UK and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Priority areas include whole aircraft design and integration, aerostructures, advanced systems and propulsion technologies, Innovate UK said on 27 August.
