Science minister says ‘historic’ agreement shows UK’s commitment to strengthening role in global space sector
A “historic” agreement with Nasa signed by the UK Space Agency underlines the UK’s commitment to strengthening its role in the global space sector, science minister Amanda Solloway has said.
Signed on 13 October at a virtual ceremony at the International Astronautical Congress, the Artemis Accords sets out the principles for exploration, science and commercial activities in space ahead of NASA’s Artemis programme, which aims to land the first woman and next man on the moon by 2024.
