CBI proposes new research council for adoption of innovation

Accelerate UK would ‘bring strategy, scale and visibility' to government support for innovation

The Confederation of British Industry has proposed the creation of a research council to support the adoption of innovation.

The purpose of the new organisation, called Accelerate UK, would be to “bring strategy, scale and visibility to government support for innovation adoption”, the CBI said on 5 November, and to complement the expertise and roles of other councils and Innovate UK.
