Engineers call for more action and funding on net-zero goals

Covid-19 crisis represents ‘window of opportunity for positive change’, says National Engineering Policy Centre

An influential group of engineers has called on the UK government to urgently embed its plans to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions into its Covid-19 economic recovery strategy.

According to a report published by the National Engineering Policy Centre, which represents 43 UK engineering organisations, a “net-zero and resilient recovery will be vital” in setting the UK on the right path to meeting its target for net-zero emissions by 2050.
