But BioIndustry Association says the government should be putting more money into the scheme
The UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, has announced a £30 million investment through the relaunched Biomedical Catalyst funding programme for innovative healthcare technologies.
The announcement, made on 11 June by the agency’s CEO, Ian Campbell, follows a campaign by the BioIndustry Association, the BIA, a trade body representing more than 300 companies in the bioscience sector, to rapidly re-fund and deploy the scheme.
