Joint study with Rolls-Royce will look at ‘game-changing potential’ of technology powering space travel
The UK Space Agency has joined forces with Rolls-Royce to study how nuclear power technologies could be used in space exploration.
UKSA said on 12 January that the research contract means planetary scientists will be able to explore the “game-changing potential of nuclear power as a more plentiful source of energy, capable of making possible deeper space exploration in the decades to come”.
