CBI says government should set out long-term plan in autumn spending review
Business leaders have called for “record levels” of long-term investment in innovation ahead of the government’s comprehensive spending review later this year.
In its new report, Seize the moment: How can business transform the UK economy?, the Confederation of British Industry identifies six growth opportunities worth £700 billion that it says are critical to the UK’s future economic success: a decarbonised economy, an innovation economy, a globalised economy, a regionally thriving economy, an inclusive economy and a healthier nation.
