Independent government advisory committee identifies gaps in regulation of AI and neurotechnology medical devices

The UK government has welcomed proposals to overhaul the regulation of medical devices that use AI and neurotechnology.

On 30 November the Regulatory Horizons Council, an independent government advisory committee, outlined a number of challenges and current gaps in the regulation of these devices and made recommendations to government.
