UK launches agriculture and food integrity centre

Belfast centre to help make food supply chains “more sustainable, reliable, safe and productive”

The UK government has launched a new centre for excellence in agriculture and food integrity in Belfast, a partnership between Queen’s University Belfast and the National Measurement Laboratory.

Announcing its launch on 22 June, the government said the centre will develop scientific-measurement solutions and digital technologies to make food supply chains “more sustainable, reliable, safe, and productive”.
