Science department unveils strategy for engagement with nuclear research organisation

The UK government has set out five goals to improve the returns on its collaboration with Cern, the European organisation for nuclear research, over the next decade.

While the UK plays a “prominent role” in Cern’s particle accelerator lab based in Geneva, there is potential to boost the return on its investment, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology concludes in a new strategy for engagement with the facility.
