Expected drop-off linked to wider economic outlook, as agency looks to strengthen UK’s IP framework

The UK’s Intellectual Property Office has projected a slowdown in growth this year while setting out measures to bolster the country’s IP framework.

“Now more than ever, a strong IP framework is crucial to delivering the government’s ambitions for growth, cementing the UK’s role as a science and technology superpower, and a global leader in creativity and innovation,” said Jonathan Berry, minister for AI and IP in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
