Think tank argues that sovereign AI model would reduce UK dependence on foreign companies
The government has been urged to create a state-owned artificial intelligence model to maintain competitiveness and reduce reliance on foreign companies driving the AI revolution.
On 3 May, the centre-right think tank Onward recommended the development of “Great British GPT” to ensure the UK is not left behind as the development of AI accelerates globally.
