UK survey reveals cautious public support for AI technologies

            

People broadly support artificial intelligence in fields like healthcare and education but want regulation

A new UK study has revealed mixed opinions on the benefits of artificial intelligence, with the majority of survey respondents calling for appropriate regulation of the rapidly advancing technologies.

According to the survey of 4,000 people, which was conducted by the Ada Lovelace Institute and the Alan Turing Institute, when offered examples of 17 AI technologies, respondents felt the benefits outweigh concerns for 10 of the 17 technologies considered.
