Catapults ‘cannot rest on laurels’, says science minister

R&D centres must “evolve at pace of global race for S&T investment”, says George Freeman

The UK must make best use of Catapult tech centres that have leveraged in millions of pounds to R&D, according to science minister George Freeman, who suggested that, despite any successes, more work is still to be done to further improve their work.

Freeman has said that as the pace of research and innovation speeds up, the best use must be made of the Catapults, which are independent but government-backed centres where research is accelerated and technologies developed.
