Anglia Ruskin biologist to run open-access journal

Stephen Bustin, professor in the faculty of health, social care and education at Anglia Ruskin University, has become the first editor of the latest open-access molecular biology journal from Elsevier.

Biomolecular Detection and Quantification, launched on 27 October, is a quarterly online journal exploring molecular biology-based design, measurement, data analysis and reporting.

Helen Habernickel, publisher at Elsevier, said, "BDQ will serve as a forum for sharing key findings across what may otherwise be disparate specialties. We are happy to support the research community by making the journal’s content as widely available as possible."
