NASA makes space research available to all

The United States’ space agency has launched a public web portal called Pubspace, which gives free access to research it has funded.

PubSpace is an archive of science journal articles produced as a result of NASA-funded research and the data will be available for download, reading and analysis within one year of publication. The space agency now requires articles in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and papers in conference proceedings to be available on the portal.

The creation of the NASA-Funded Research Results portal “reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to providing broad public access to science data”, the agency said in a statement on 16 August.
