American Chemical Society and Jisc agree open-access deal

Three-year transitional agreement means articles can be made open access at no cost to researchers

The American Chemical Society and the UK higher education IT firm Jisc have reached a transitional agreement that will enable open access publishing for researchers across the UK.

The three-year agreement, which will last through 2024, will mean all articles published in ACS journals by researchers at UK universities and research institutes can be made open access at no extra cost to the authors.
