Deal will allow UK researchers free open-access publishing in RSC hybrid journals
The Royal Society of Chemistry and the higher education IT firm Jisc have agreed a three-year, open-access deal—the latest in a wave of transformative agreements in the sector.
Under the deal, which builds on a previous agreement and lasts until the end of 2024, researchers at qualifying institutions will be able to make articles openly available in the learned society’s portfolio of hybrid journals at no cost to them.
