Society says move shows “commitment to making research accessible while maintaining highest standards”
The Biochemical Society has announced it will convert five of its research and review journals to a subscribe-to-open model in 2025.
The journals published by the learned society for biochemists and its trading arm Portland Press will now be free to read, supported by payments from libraries that previously went to subscriptions for the five publications.
