MPs latest to criticise carbon budget review

A government decision to review the carbon budget in 2014 could create uncertainty and undermine investor confidence in the low-carbon sector, MPs have said.

The House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee published its report on the carbon budget on 11 October. It says it welcomes the government’s decision to set a fourth budget under the climate change act that requires it to cut emissions by half by 2025, relative to 1990 levels.
