Research Councils UK has said it has confidence in the Met Office’s science strategy and role in fulfilling its public weather service remit.
The comment is part of its response to the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee’s inquiry into the office’s effectiveness and robustness and the role of its chief scientific adviser.
