Slow computing hinders Met Office, MPs told

The Met Office is limited in making improvements to its weather forecasts by a lack of high-performance computing, the Science and Technology Select Committee has been told.

Speaking to the committee as part of its inquiry into Science in the Met Office on 26 October, the head of the Royal Meteorological Society, Paul Hardaker, said funding was an issue.
