Regional representation has no significance in the appointment of members of the Technology Strategy Board’s governing board, science minister David Willetts has said.
“Members of the governing board of the Technology Strategy Board are appointed only on the basis of their experience and knowledge of key technology areas and their ability to bring a personal perspective to the exploitation of science, technology and new ideas by business,” Willetts told Chi Onwurah, Labour MP for Newcastle.
