MPs seek more evidence on scientific advisers

The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee will hold another oral evidence session on the role of chief scientific advisers on 22 November.

So far it has summoned John Shepherd, chairman of the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s scientific advisory group; Christopher Gilligan, chairman of the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs’ science advisory council; Ian Poll, chairman of the Defence scientific advisory council; and Leszek Borysiewicz, chairman of the Department for International Development’s scientific advisory group.
