‘Responsible’ nanotech commercialisation in pipeline, says Willetts

The government is committed to supporting the responsible commercialisation of nano-scale technologies, science minister David Willetts has said in a written answer to the House of Commons.

Willetts outlined the government’s views on nanotechnology in response to a parliamentary question by Chi Onwurah, Labour MP for Newcastle Central, about the status of the UK Nanotechnologies Strategy. The strategy was published under the Labour government in March 2010.
