The House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee has launched an inquiry into the Met Office science strategy and the remit of its Public Weather Service.
It will look into questions such as how robust and achievable the science strategy is, the role of the office’s chief scientific adviser, and how effectively the Met Office coordinates its activities with other departments.
