The Liberal Democrats have passed a motion calling for the creation of a national institute to oversee research and direct policy into happiness and wellbeing.
The institute recommendation is part of the policy paper, “A New Purpose for Politics: Quality of Life”, passed at the Liberal Democrat Conference in Birmingham on 20 September, and which aims to introduce policies that would improve quality of life.
