MPs probe space weather threat to electronic infrastructure

The House of Commons Defence Committee has launched an inquiry into risks to electronic infrastructure, including space weather and nuclear weapons.

The inquiry will focus on threats posed by electromagnetic pulse events, which are caused by various space weather changes. It will investigate how well space weather can be forecast and what can be done to mitigate the electromagnetic pulse events.
